The image shows the natural process of ordered water layer formation on the surface of proteins. These layers trigger protein folding and enable their specific function.
For a protein to adopt its correct three-dimensional shape, it must be surrounded by structured water – a key prerequisite for cellular function. To generate sufficient ordered water, the water must absorb specific electromagnetic energy and convert it into coherent domains.
In cells, this energy naturally comes from reactive oxygen species (ROS), emitted by certain free radicals.
The second image shows how free radicals, also known as oxidative stress, cause cellular damage. This occurs inevitably during oxygen usage, especially during ATP production (energy generation). Unfortunately, this process is unavoidable and always leads to damage of cellular structures, including proteins. Damaged proteins lose their specific function, resulting in impaired cellular activity and accelerated aging.
